2008 SDCHA Scholarship Application 
Requirements: 
  • Membership in both SDCHA and NYCHA
  • Intention to pursue higher education.
  • 50% participation at SDCHA shows for previous point year (2007).  Participant must have been present at 50% of shows.
  • Essay.  “How cutting has influenced my life”, no more than 300 words.
 Availability: 
  • 2 Senior youth scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $400.
  • 1 Junior youth scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $200.
  • Eligibility is based on the 2007 year.

Scholarships will be sent to the school of higher education that recipient attends.

 

Deadline;

 
  • Must be received by August 14th, 2008.
  • Include applicants name, address, phone number, and NYCHA number along with essay.

PLEASE REMEMBER: 
Horses of any age (2 and 3 year olds) are now allowed to show in any NCHA week-end class if eligible prior to being show in most Limited Aged Events. SDCHA has seen other associations allowing this practice so we have adopted this for our members. You can now season/train your 2 and 3 year olds all year long.  And then go show them at the fall Aged Events around the Nation.
**PLEASE NOTE ** Horses being shown at the NCHA World Championship Futurity can never be judged in any event prior to being shown at Ft. Worth.
